U.S. Army Command Sgt. Maj. Steven J. Rodriguez, outgoing senior enlisted advisor of the 340th Brigade Support Battalion, 115th Regional Support Group, California Army National Guard, looks to the skies to hold back emotions during his Sept. 27, 2020 retirement ceremony at Seaside, California. Rodriguez gave his final advice and support to the battalion he supported for nearly three years. He was able to proudly declare, “I have witnessed Soldiers become leaders, junior officers and noncommissioned officers become senior leaders, and the battalion as a whole become one of the best, if not the best battalion in the California National Guard.” Rodriguez concluded 29 years of military service.
