NAVAL AIR STATION SIGONELLA, Italy (Sept. 23, 2020) Firefighter Alessio Musmeci, with Naval Air Station (NAS) Sigonella Fire and Emergency Services, bleeds an air line on a fire truck in order to operate a fire hydrant at base housing, Sept. 23, 2020. The mission of NAS Sigonella Fire and Emergency Services is to prevent the loss of life and property through the effective delivery of fire and rescue materials, fire prevention, and public education services. NAS Sigonella’s strategic location enables U.S, allied, and partner nation forces to deploy and respond as required to ensure security and stability in Europe, Africa and Central Command.
