FORT LEE, VA. -- During a memorial wall dedication at the Quartermaster Museum Sept. 25, Army QM Foundation President and Retired Maj. Gen. Richard E. Beale listed the many accomplishments of retired Lt. Gen. Arthur J. Gregg, including the lesser-known historical fact that he was the Army’s first African-American promoted to three-star general. Beale also talked about the accomplishments of Gregg's late wife Charlene who co-authored the book in his hand.
