U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Irving Velasquez-Santana, machine shop floor chief with General Support Maintenance (GSM) Company, 3rd Maintenance Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group (MLG), and Brooklyn, New York native, designs a hoist for transmission to 3D print in the machine shop at General Support Maintenance Company, 3rd Maintenance Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group (MLG), Camp Kinser, Okinawa, Japan, Sept. 24, 2020. Members of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force participated in a walk-through with key leaders of 3rd Maintenance Bn. to discuss expeditionary and machinery capabilities. 3rd MLG provides III Marine Expeditionary Force comprehensive logistics and combat service support for operations throughout the Indo-Pacific area of responsibility.
