A Coulson Aviation, Inc., crew member pre-flights a civilian CH-47 Chinook heavy-lift helicopter on the ramp at Los Alamitos Army Airfield, Sept. 30, 2020, before a flight demonstration during a press conference at Joint Forces Training Base, Los Alamitos, California. The helicopter, hailed as the world’s largest helitanker due to its ability to drop 3,000 gallons of water or retardant in a single pass, is staging on the base for 24/7 wildfire response in Southern California through the end of the year.
