Spc. Francisco Gutierrez, 688th Rapid Port Opening Element, 832nd Transportation Battalion, 597th Transportation Brigade, conducts a map reading task during the 2020 Best Warrior Competition held in front of the 597th Transportation Brigade headquarters at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, Oct. 5, 2020. The Soldiers were tested on their quick reactions and Army knowledge without knowing what the tasks will be in advance. In addition to map reading, the Soldier also had to disassemble and perform a functions check on a rifle, don protective gear in a simulated chemical attack, treat a heat casualty, treat an abdominal wound and eye injury as well as other tasks and drills.
