DAHLGREN, Va. - Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) scientist William Filkoski records surface observations and analyzes sounding data in support of a collaborative research project combining the Navy’s next-generation laser weapons with maritime environmental challenges. Filkoski is supporting the effort while on a New Employee Developmental Assignment (NEDA) which offers a unique development opportunity to entry-level scientists and engineers. NEDAs are temporary assignments, typically 4 to 6 months in duration, to other parts of NSWCDD.
