KODIAK, Alaska - Soccer players take the field during the Base Kodiak MWR Youth Soccer program. This program hosts up to 100 young athletes each season. Coast Guard Base Kodiak, Alaska, is one of the largest Coast Guard bases in the world with more than 3,500 active duty, retired military, civilians, and their family members in the area. Kodiak is located approximately 250 miles southwest of Anchorage and is home to the base’s Morale, Well-Being and Recreation (MWR) program.
