U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Sheena Pascua uses a flashlight to see inside a heart rate monitor at Sihanoukville, Cambodia, July 30, 2012, during a biomedical equipment technician (BMET) event in support of Pacific Partnership 2012. BMET events are used to repair and restore broken or damaged medical equipment in order to increase the capacity of host nation hospitals to treat more and a larger variety of patients. Pacific Partnership is an annual deployment of forces designed to strengthen maritime and humanitarian partnerships during disaster relief operations, while providing humanitarian, medical, dental and engineering assistance to nations of the Pacific.
