U.S. Marines with 3d Reconnaissance Battalion, attached to 4th Marine Regiment, 3d Marine Division, prepare to board an MV-22 Osprey (USMC) to conduct a high altitude high opening free fall during Service Training Exercise at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, California, Oct. 2, 2020. 3d Reconnaissance Battalion conducted sustainment military freefall operations in preparation for a Maneuver Warfare Exercise, demonstrating their tactical proficiency during the regiment’s operations. Marines were not required to wear masks during some training events due to the extreme heat and moisture build up that reduces mask effectiveness. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl.
