201010-N-FA490-1210 ANDAMAN SEA (Oct. 10, 2020) Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Kurshana Farinha, from St. Lucia, Jamaica, serves as signalman during a replenishment-at-sea (RAS) between the Lewis and Clark-class dry cargo ship USNS Carl Brashear (T-AKE-7) and the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Halsey (DDG 97). U.S. Navy cruisers and destroyers fulfill critical rolls to forward-deployed naval forces, Carrier Strike Group, and regional partners and allies in supporting the security and the right of all nations to trade, to communicate, and to choose their destiny in a Free and Open Indo-Pacific.
