The red candle in the ceremony represents the blood, sweat and tears shed by the corps in every conflict from the Revolutionary War to modern day. The Non Commissioned Officer Corps is a time-tested corps that is proud, physically fit, and combat proven. The NCO corps is eternally ready to serve, fight and win on any continent.
