Congressman David Joyce (R-OH 14th District) tours the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Buffalo District's Harpersfield Dam sea lamprey barrier project located on the Grand River, Geneva, OH, August 21, 2020.
In partnership with the Great Lakes Fishery Commission, Ashtabula County Metro Parks, and Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Buffalo District completed construction of a 326-foot solid concrete sea lamprey barrier that replaced the old hollow core dam structure within the Harpersfield Covered Bridge Park. Funding was provided through the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative and the non-federal partners.
