    Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES)

Lt. Col. Charles Daniel, a pilot with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 773, stands by prior to the AH-1W Super Cobra's final Sundown flight on Oct. 14, 2020, at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base, New Orleans. After an incredible 933,614 flight hours over a 34 year career, the AH-1W “Whiskey” Super Cobra flew its last flight over the City of New Orleans passing its legacy and mission to the “Zulu” variant, the AH-1Z Viper. The "Zulu" will carry the torch of its predecessor, continuing to enable Marine Forces Reserve to go, fight, and win our nation's battles through air superiority.
