Brandon Turner, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marines Commanding Officer, following his brief at Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA) on Oct. 9, 2020. PTA was first used during World War II as a Marine Corps artillery live-fire training area where U.S. Marines from the 2nd Marine Division and the 5th Marine Division trained in preparation for the Iwo Jima and Saipan campaigns.
