    U.S. Navy Adm. Phil Davidson, United States Indo-Pacific Commander, presents a coin of excellence to U.S. Marine Lt. Col. Brandon Turner, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marines Commanding Officer, following his brief at Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA) on Oct. 9, 2020. PTA was first used during World War II as a Marine Corps artillery live-fire training area where U.S. Marines from the 2nd Marine Division and the 5th Marine Division trained in preparation for the Iwo Jima and Saipan campaigns.
