In the virtual reality simulation developed by the Norfolk Naval Shipyard Technology and Innovation Lab, users are able to enter Dry Dock 3 and witness a submarine pull into drydock from various angles and locations. Users are also able to enter the submarine and explore compartments within the vessel. Nuclear Test Engineering Division (Code 2340) Assistant Shift Test Engineer (ASTE) Joey Hoellerich developed the simulation as a unique training experience for shipyard employees.
