U.S. Marine Lt. Col. Jonathan Peterson, commanding officer of 1st Landing Support Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 1, 1st Marine Logistics Group, I Marine Expeditionary Force, speaks to guests during the activation ceremony for 1st LSB on Camp Pendleton Calif., 15 Oct. 2020. The activation of 1st LSB is in alignment with the Commandant’s vison for force design and provides the 1st MLG with added landing support and tactical support capabilities that enhance the expeditionary maneuver warfare vision for the future. 1st LSB will be able to support our naval expeditionary force with capabilities such as aerial resupply via helicopter support teams, parachute drops, port operations, beach operations, and rail operations as the main effort.
