After a short bus ride from the air strip, soldiers from the New Jersey National Guard, 1st Battalion, 114th Infantry arrived at their temporary home on Thebephatshwa Air Base in Botswana Tuesday. The soldiers will participate in Southern Accord 2012, a joint exercise that brings together U.S. military and Botswana Defense Forces to conduct humanitarian assistance/disaster relief operations, peace keeping operations, aeromedical evacuation, to enhance military capabilities and interoperability.
