A Georgian army soldier from 1st Platoon, Bravo Company, 32nd Infantry Battalion uses a metal detector to try and locate a simulated improvised explosive device during a mission rehearsal exercise (MRE) at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center in Hohenfels, Germany, Aug. 2, 2012. MREs are designed to prepare units for deployment to the Afghanistan theater of operations to conduct counterinsurgency, stability, and transportation operations in support of NATO International Security Assistance Force.
