U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Austin Pinkerton, a native of Mahoning, Ohio, and a rifleman with Headquarters Company, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, builds a shelter as part of a 36-hour survival night during Mountain Training Exercise 1-21 (MTX) at Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport, Calif., Oct. 22, 2020. MTX is a service level training exercise teaching Marines to effectively work in extreme conditions such as weather and terrain.
