Staff Sgt. John Cupp, Recruiting and Retention, Alaska Army National Guard, pushes through the pain as he completes a lift during the advanced CrossFit class held at Hanger 5 on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Aug. 1. The workout of the day, known as a WOD, included “hang power clean” to “press,” butterfly sit-ups and rowing. The 907 CrossFit program on JBER builds strength and conditioning through constantly varied, high intensity functional movements. The no cost program is available to Alaska guardsmen, their families and friends.
