Col. Steven E. Putthoff, commander, 4th Sustainment Brigade, 4th Infantry Division along with Command Sgt. Maj. Phillip C. Hollifield, senior enlisted advisor to the commander, 4SB, 4th Inf. Div. recognized 22 Rough Rider Soldiers 3 Oct. for their outstanding performance during the Command Post Exercise. Six Rough Riders received the Army Achievement Medal for going above and beyond their normal duties. The remaining 16 Soldiers were awarded Brigade coins for their dedication to the mission and ensuring the Rough Riders success. The following Soldiers were awarded the Army Achievement Medal: Capt. Eric Dompkowski, Sgt. 1st Class John Manzanarez, Sgt. 1st Class Hyong Kim, Sgt. Julie Ann Bobert, Spc. Charles Gausch, Pvt. Aaliyah Martinez. These 16 Rough Riders received Brigade Coins: Capt. Lauren Vanderlugt, Capt. Jared Kennedy, Capt. Oliver Klein, Staff Sgt. John Donaldson, Staff Sgt. Steven Vincenzetti, Staff Sgt. Gehard Bora Bora, Sgt. Ectrus Barber, Sgt. Damon Bennett, Sgt. Clarence Thomas, Cpl. Leslie Solorzano, Cpl. Richard Milligan, Spc. Erick Forest, Spc. Gehard Johnson, Spc. Zachary Stains, Spc. Lucas Krieger, Pfc. Alicia Rodriguez, Pfc. Mauro Velez.
