201019-A-RX269-1071 MANAMA, Bahrain (Oct. 19, 2020) -- U.S. Coast Guardsmen assigned to Coast Guard Patrol Forces Southwest Asia (PATFORSWA), show specialized equipment used for visit, board, search and seizure operations to the Combined Maritime Forces' senior naval representatives from Pakistan, Philippines, Thailand, Spain, Singapore, Brazil, Germany, Italy, and Korea. during a visit to the Coast Guard Maritime Engagement Team training facility onboard Naval Support Activity Bahrain, Oct. 19. PATFORSWA is comprised of the Maritime Engagement Team, shoreside support personnel and six 110 cutters and is the Coast Guards largest unit outside of the U.S., playing a key role in supporting the Navy’s maritime security and maritime infrastructure protection operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
