201016-M-UY835-1055 PACIFIC OCEAN (Oct. 16, 2020) – U.S. Navy Mass Communication Specialist 3rd Class Ethan Morrow, assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8), photographs U.S. Marines with the All-Domain Reconnaissance Detachment, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, fast-roping from a U.S. Navy MH-60S Sea Hawk aboard Makin Island. The 15th MEU Marines integrated training efforts with Sailors assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 23 to conduct fast-rope training on the flight deck. The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group and the 15th MEU are currently conducting at-sea training events in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Patrick Crosley)
