FORT LEE, VA. - Seven Instructor of the Year candidates and their sponsors listen to instructions from Command Sgt. Maj. Eric J. Vidal, Quartermaster School CSM, prior to the first event of the competition on Monday. A five-member panel of senior NCOs asked the candidates numerous questions about current events, military bearing, total-force fitness and other leadership topics. The competitors also will undergo a classroom assessment, Army Combat Fitness Test, ruck march and written essay prior to the closing award ceremony on Friday.
