Making his way down the steps, Sgt. Claude Williams, a chemical specialist and survey team member assigned to the Kansas National Guard's 73rd Civil Support Team (Weapons of Mass Destruction), uses chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear equipment to detect possible hazardous contaminants in the basement of a school on the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center, Ind., Aug. 6. Williams, a native of Topeka, Kan., assisted in identifying, assessing, assisting and providing CBRN information from the training venue to other Joint Task Force Civil Support units during the Vibrant Response 13 field training exercise.
