Capt. Malcolm Wise, commanding officer of the Royal Australian navy Surface Combatant HMAS Perth (FFH 157) presents Cmdr. Paul Davis, commanding officer of the Los Angeles-class submarine USS Houston (SSN 713) a book titled "Cruiser, The Life and Loss of HMAS Perth," to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the sinking of HMAS Perth (D 29) and USS Houston (CA 30) at the Battle of Sunda Strait during WWII. Both vessels were torpedoed and sank, Feb. 28, 1942, by a major Imperial Japanese navy Task Force of more than 50 ships of the western Java Invasion Convoy.
