KINGS BAY, Ga. (Nov. 2, 2020) Rear Adm. John Spencer, Commander, Submarine Group Ten (left) briefs Lt. Gen. Thomas Bussiere, Deputy Commander, U.S. Strategic Command, (center) and Master Gunnery Sgt. Terrance Meekins, senior enlisted leader, on the capabilities of Ohio-class ballistic-missile submarines in the dry dock onboard Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Georgia. It is the largest covered dry dock in the United States. The base is home to six ballistic-missile submarines that make up the most survivable leg of the strategic deterrence triad for the United States.
