Staff Sgt. Kyle Padgett, 20th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Gamblers Aircraft Maintenance Unit, a dedicated crew chief and a native of Aiken, S.C., and Airman 1st Class Matthew Andrade, Gamblers AMXU crew chief and a native of Vacaville, Calif., apply tape to the tail of an F-16 Fighting Falcon at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., July 31, 2012. The purpose of the tape is to protect sensitive electrical equipment while the plane is washed of dirt, grime and other debris. Planes are washed every 180 days to prevent corrosion.
