The 301st Fighter Wing, 457th Fighter Squadron, has a rich and long history in aviation history. After celebrating the 75th Anniversary in 2019, the squadron commemorated the anniversary with the painting of a heritage jet that not only represents the squadron, but also pays tribute to the State of Texas. After the painting was delayed, the heritage jet made its way back to Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, Texas on Nov 5.
