U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer 5 Clifton Miller recites an oath given to him by U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Francis Evon, adjutant general for the Connecticut National Guard, during his promotion ceremony Aug. 27, 2020 at the Gov. William A. O’Neill Armory in Hartford, Conn. With his promotion, Chief Miller became the first Jamaican-American CW5 in Connecticut National Guard history.
