External fuel tanks are stored and certified within the vertical tank storage facility to ensure optimal working order before being attached to F-22 Raptors assigned to the 1st Fighter Wing at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, Oct. 21, 2020.
Each tank can carry an additional 600 gallons of fuel, helping the 1 FW to deliver the world’s premiere fighter jet to combatant commanders around the world.
