Christian Magliocca, an MC-13H Combat Talon II loadmaster with the 1st Special Operations Support Squadron, displays the Airman’s Medal he received Nov. 13, 2020, at Hurlburt Field, Florida. Magliocca received the medal for his heroism involving voluntary risk of his own life in August 2017 when he rescued a local resident caught in a rip current.
