Naval Medical Forces Pacific Commander Tim Weber visits a multi-service ward at Naval Hospital Twentynine Palms to check out the newest weapon in their infection control arsenal, an ultraviolet radiation emitting robot, pictured in the background. The robot is designed to complement manual cleaning and can kill several disease-causing pathogens, including SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. Weber was at the hospital visiting personnel from Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) Twentynine Palms who are assigned to the hospital and thank them for their work during the COVID-19 pandemic.
