201119-N-OW019-0106 ARABIAN SEA (Nov. 19, 2020) The Indian Navy destroyer INS Chennai (D65) fires its main gun during a live-fire exercise with the Royal Australian Navy frigate HMAS Ballarat (FFG 155) and guided-missile destroyer USS Sterett (DDG 104) and the Indian Navy frigate INS Talwar (F40) as part of Malabar 2020. Malabar 2020 is the latest in a continuing series of exercises that has grown in scope and complexity over the years to address the variety of shared threats to maritime security in the Indo-Pacific where the U.S. Navy has patrolled for more than 70 years promoting regional peace and security.
