U.S. Air Force Technical Sgt. Lee Macedo, noncommissioned officer in charge of munitions and control for the 379th Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron, inspects the electronic components inside a bomb rack unit loaded with four GBU-39 small diameter bombs at the munitions storage area on Al Udeid Air Base, Nov. 27, 2020. Munition system technicians ensure all equipment and tools used to arm and transport munitions are safe and serviceable in order to protect the Airmen and munitions they work with. Munition system technicians complete periodic serviceability inspections on all weapon systems as well as pre-issue inspections before transferring them to the flight line for use.
