Col. Bill Hannan, commander, Kansas City District, USACE, addressed the team during the awards presentations at the Missouri River Area Office in Napoleon, Mo. Significant overtime including weekend work went into the district response to Missouri River areas of concern. Whether providing surveys from a work boat, moving and dropping rock to repair river structures or providing all the support needed to make those efforts along with contracted efforts work to mitigate the channel restrictions experienced by our commercial navigation partners, this team worked hard from July to the end of November 2020.
