201203-N-DK739-1001 OKINAWA, Japan (Dec. 3, 2020) Builder 1st Class Eduardo Munoz and Builder Constructionman Thomas Clark, assigned to U.S. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 3, guide a metal roof panel out of an Ultimate Building Machine (UBM) while conducting an operational test on Camp Shields in Okinawa, Japan. Seabees can use UBMs to quickly erect durable steel structures such as K-spans to support Major Combat Operations (MCO) and storage needs. NMCB-3 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
