201201-N-PG340-1050 PORT HUENEME, Calif. (Dec. 1, 2020) Engineering Aide 3rd Class Hunter Sylvester, with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, operates a laser range finder from the Instrument Set, Reconnaissance, and Surveying (ENFIRE) kit. The new kit replaces outdated surveying methods for gathering technical data. The U.S. Navy Seabees with NMCB-5 are homeported in Port Hueneme, California, conducting training on high-quality construction prior to deploying across the Indo-Pacific region.
