Soldiers from the 1343rd Chemical Company, 151st Chemical Battalion, 31st Chemical Brigade, out of Athens, Ala., “man the line,” Aug. 9, as non-ambulatory “victims” are brought into a decontamination tent in the aftermath of a simulated nuclear explosion during Vibrant Response 13. The first phase of the decontamination process involves removing clothing and showering. Victims who are able to walk through on their own power forgo the conveyer belt process.
