Preparing to assess one of his patients, U.S. Air Force Maj. John Magulick, a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), assigned to 59th Medical Wing, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, dons his personal protective equipment (PPE) before entering the patient's room. Magulick is part of a team of Department of Defense medical personnel supporting the hospital at University of Medical, El Paso, Texas, Dec. 11, 2020. The Department of Defense medical teams integrate seamlessly into the civilian-led hospitals, providing a continuity of care alongside hospital medical staff to best support their fight against COVID-19.
