The Alaska National Guard served as elves and delivered packages as a part of the 65th annual tradition of Operation Santa Claus. Unit members from Fairbanks ensured the logistics of the packages to the UH-60 Black Hawk crew and brought joy to remote Alaskan villages continuing the tradition and safely provided gifts despite COVID-19. The tradition started in 1956 after spring floods and has continued to serve Alaska rural communities. (U.S. Air National Guard photo by Senior Master Sgt. Julie Avey)
