Command Sgt. Maj. Richard Lopez, Los Angeles Recruiting Battalion, and Staff Sgt. Jhoana Arraiaga, drill sergeant, Company C, 2nd Battalion, 413th Regiment, 95th Training Division, take the stage to be recognized for their positive representation within the Latino community, during the opening sequence at the 27th Annual Imagen Awards at the Beverly Hills Hilton. The Army soldiers were invited to participate in the shows opening sequence to personify the diversity of the Latino population and their commitment to excellence, along with nine other members of the community. The Imagen Foundation is an entertainment industry partner furthering employment opportunities and positive media images of the Latino community in television and film. Watch the Imagen Awards Sept. 25 at 12 p.m. as a part of its Hispanic Heritage Month programming.
