Dan Cougevan, General Manager, NEX Bahrain/Jebel Ali/Djibouti, will retire from the Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) on Dec. 31, 2020, After 31 years of service. Dan was given a full military-style retirement ceremony due to his support of the military members stationed at Naval Support Activity Bahrain. During his retirement ceremony, he was presented with the Navy Superior Civilian Service Award as well as a U. S. flag that was flown over NSA Bahrain. NEXCOM is comprised of 14,000 personnel worldwide facilitating six business lines, NEX retail stores, the Navy Lodge Program, Telecommunications Program, Navy Clothing and Textile Research Facility, Ships Store Program and the Uniform Program Management Office.
