Petty Officer 2nd Class Armando Arias, a religious program specialist with 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward), travels to forward operating bases throughout Helmand province, Afghanistan with the chaplain to provide religious services for deployed Marines in remote areas. “I actually feel like I’m doing something out here,” said Arias. “You put on your gear, go out to the FOB, and the Marines are excited to see the chaplain and have a service.”
