PHILIPPINE SEA (Dec. 10, 2020) Naval Air Crewman (Helicopter) 2nd Class Robert Washington, from Birmingham, Mich., assigned to the “Island Knights” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25, is lowered from an MH-60S Sea Hawk helicopter during training with French Loire-class tender, and support vessel FS Seine (A 604) to ensure both nations maintain proficiency in personnel recovery while out at sea. HSC-25, the Navy’s only forward-deployed expeditionary helicopter sea combat squadron, provides a multi-mission rotary wing capability for units in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations and maintains a Guam-based 24-hour search and rescue and medical evacuation capability, directly supporting the U.S. Coast Guard and Joint Region Marianas.
