The Department of Defense Lifesaving Award and accompanying uniform pin was presented to four MCLB Barstow firefighter Paramedics for their actions on Aug. 10 when they saved the lives of a San Bernardino County Sheriffs Deputy as well as the Newberry Springs man accused of attacking the deputy withy a machete.
