A U.S. Marine with 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines, currently assigned to Special Purpose Marine-Air Ground Task Force – Crisis Response - Central Command, takes a Marine’s blood pressure during Emergency Whole Blood Transfusion Program (Valkyrie) training in the U.S. Central Command's Area of Responsibility, Dec. 6, 2020. The program is designed to place the whole blood transfusion capability into the hands of medical responders in the forward edge of the battlefield.
