Newly selected Chief Petty Officers get fitted for their first khaki uniforms at NEX Gulfport, Mississippi. The Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) implemented safety measures at all its NEX locations around the world to keep the CPO Selectees and their mentors safe while being fitted for and purchasing their new uniforms. Both NEX associates and the military members were required to wear a cloth face covering, social distance while in the store and the selectees were brought in to the store in smaller groups. NEXCOM is comprised of 14,000 personnel worldwide facilitating six business lines, NEX retail stores, the Navy Lodge Program, Telecommunications Program, Navy Clothing and Textile Research Facility, Ships Store Program and the Uniform Program Management Office.
