Camp Pendleton residents come together at Paige Field House after evacuating from their homes aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Dec. 24, 2020. A mandatory evacuation order was given through parts of Fallbrook and Camp Pendleton as the Camp Pendleton Fire Department and Cal Fire San Diego battled the 4,000 acre Creek Fire. Paige Field House is one of many temporary evacuation points where military service members, DoD civilian employees and their dependents are provided with safe staging areas when displaced by a fire.
